Achieving nearly 13 million tonnes of saleable coal production marks our best performance in the last three years.”<\/span><\/p>\n

By the end of 2023, Yancoal had amassed a cash balance of $1.4 billion, thanks to increased coal exports from Australia and Indonesia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moult emphasized, “This underscores the quality of Yancoal’s assets and their ability to generate positive cash flows.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The company’s dedication to safety was a hallmark of the year, with its total recordable injury frequency rate remaining below the industry average at 5.3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yancoal also managed to maintain its operations despite adverse weather conditions that impacted earlier in the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Moult summarized, “2023 was a highly successful year, marked by a strong recovery from operational challenges caused by extended periods of above-average rainfall. We prioritized recovery efforts early in the year, which allowed us to gain momentum and deliver a robust performance in the second half.”<\/span><\/p>\n
